Welcome to the Wu Lab of Social Decision-Making!

Many of our most important decisions are made in the social context. These decisions frequently involve reciprocal interactions between social agents and incorporate both innate and learned behavioral circuits. The capacity to make these decisions is, however, particularly vulnerable in many neuropsychiatric, neurodevelopmental, and neurodegenerative disorders. We aim to elucidate the circuits and computation underlying social decision-making and understand how they might go awry. Drawing on our expertise in circuit and systems neuroscience, we are forging new links between social behavior and cognition. Read more about our research.

We are actively recruiting postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and research associates (technicians). Please join us!

We and the Ma Lab are recruiting a joint postdoctoral fellow! We will use cutting-edge spatial-omics technologies to study how molecularly-defined cell types contribute to the neural dynamics supporting cognition. Please join us!

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We welcome students, postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, and staff members regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability status, socioeconomic status, cultural background, upbringing, citizenship, and immigration status. Our lab is committed to building and sustaining an equitable and inclusive environment, where diversity is valued and celebrated. We stand firmly against racism and discrimination in any form.
